VitaMix Journey update

Here I am owning a top of the line VitaMix Pro 750 for over a month, I have made many smoothies (about 70+ smoothies), ice cream, soups, desserts. I feel like the investment we made on this machine is already back! When we first got the VitaMix 750, my husband was skeptical about what this blender can do for us and why it costs so much. He had doubts and he thought it was way too much to pay for a blender. But, he saw me using VitaMix every single day, making smoothies, desserts, soups for our family, now he is a big fan of our VitaMix! Yay!! Last night, we were all sitting around our kitchen table and trying to figure out how many drinks that I've already made by using VitaMix. If we didn't guess wrong, we think it's about 80+ drinks. (not including all the delicious ice cream and soups I made). My kids's favorite drink in the summer is Sonic's strawberry slush during their Happy Hour (1/2 price between 2-4 pm), now they can enjoy Happy Hour anytime of the day wi

Tomato Basil Soup with a twist

I have seen people making tomato basil soup using Vitamix on YouTube. I love Tomato Basil Soup, I usually get it when I go to La Madeleine French Cafe. Well, I didn't believe that homemade Tomato Basil soup will be delicious like the restaurant quality, I put my Vitamix to test and here is a picture. Recipe: 2 cups of chicken broth, 1 large tomato, 1 cup of celery, 1 cup of baby carrots (about 7) few cilantro, 2 leafs of basil. Set VitaMix to soup setting or blend for 4 minutes in high speed. Once the Vitamix is stop blending, put 1/2 cup of chicken breast in the container, blend for 20 more second in medium speed.

Sunset Relaxation Smoothie

I called it "Sunset Relaxation Smoothe" is because the color of this smoothie and the ingredients I put in. Of course, the taste of this smoothie gave me the relaxation feelings! Here is the recipe I created and you should give it a try. Yield: 1 cup Recipe: 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of ice, 1 cup of frozen pineapple/magon, 1/2 cup of Kale, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger. Option: Agave Nectar (few pumps) Use Smoothie preset if you have this option. Or, you can start with variable 1 then slowly turn to variable 10 to blend for 10-15 second.

Guess who's blending

I had so much fun making smoothies for my family by using the VitaMix. When my kids were drinking a good healthy smoothie, I know they were getting the nutritious. Tonight, I got my daughter involved using the VitaMix, Brenda was able to make herself a Strawberry smoothie by using the smoothie preset. She loved our new kitchen addition and we don't treat VitaMix as a kitchen appliance, we treat VM as our personal chef. No matter what ingredients you put in, VitaMix will get the job done. Done, Right!
